Firalis Molecular Precision is now Precursion

15.06.26

Huningue, France, 15/06/2026 – Firalis Molecular Precision, a company specializing in biomarkers and multi-omics analysis for precision medicine, today announces its name change to officially become Precursion. This new identity marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution and aligns with its ongoing development within the Janvier Biosciences group.

An Evolution of Our Identity

The name Precursion reflects the perfect synergy of our core mission, our scientific edge, and our ultimate vision for healthcare. It is built on three powerful pillars:

  • Precision

A direct nod to Precision Medicine, which is at the very heart of our daily operations. We believe that healthcare should be tailored, exact, and driven by data – principles that guide every analysis we perform.

  • Precursor

Innovation requires looking ahead. In the rapidly evolving fields of Proteomics & Genomics, we dedicate ourselves to staying ahead of the curve and anticipating the needs of modern research, in particular by leveraging next-generation technologies. Our role as a comprehensive provider of advanced platforms like Olink or Pacbio is a direct testament to this mindset.

  • Pre-Cure

We operate “before the cure.” From early-stage preclinical research to clinical validation, we support academia, biotech, and pharma partners in accelerating drug development. By leveraging our deep biomarker expertise, we empower you to discover novel treatments and help clinicians match the right therapy to the right patient at the right time.

Our new visual identity is directly inspired by living organisms. The shapes within our logo evoke the cells, proteins, and biological interaction networks at the heart of the projects we support every day.

Absolute Continuity in Expertise and Teams

While our name changes, our fundamentals remain the same. This transition to Precursion occurs in total continuity: you will find the same teams and the same points of contact, upholding the rigorous scientific standards that have built the company’s reputation.

Precursion continues to support its clients in the discovery and validation of biomarkers, translational research, and precision medicine. Our partners continue to benefit from our historical know-how across all our services: biobanking, genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics. To ensure reliable and actionable data, quality remains our absolute priority at every step of our processes, backed by our ISO, CAP, and GCLP certifications.

A New Phase Focused on Partnership

This name change is also an opportunity to open a new chapter in our collaborations. Beyond words, Precursion affirms its commitment to placing active listening, transparency, and fluid communication at the center of our working relationships. It is this proximity that allows us to build lasting, trusted partnerships to successfully carry out complex biomedical projects.

This identity will be progressively deployed across all our communication channels, from our website to our scientific publications.

“Precursion more accurately reflects what we have become: a scientific partner committed to the advancement of precision medicine, from preclinical research to the development of new therapeutic solutions. This name change marks an important step in our evolution, while preserving the strengths that have always defined us: the scientific excellence of our teams, the quality of our data, and the trust of our clients and partners,” states Eric Schordan, CEO of Precursion.

About Precursion

Precursion is a CRO specializing in the discovery, validation, and analysis of biomarkers in preclinical and clinical research. Born from the technological expertise of Tc Land Expression (founded in 2002), the company was integrated into Firalis Group in 2013 to become Firalis Molecular Precision. Following the integration into Janvier Group Biosciences, the company is renamed Precursion. The company supports academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical partners through its cutting-edge skills and multi-omics approaches in proteomics, genomics, bioinformatics, and sample management/storage in its biobank.

The company currently employs 35 people and relies on a technological platform of over 800 m², a strong quality and regulatory culture (ISO, CAP, GCLP, and integrated quality system), and a presence in Europe (Huningue, in the heart of BioValley) and the United States (Cambridge, USA), to support its clients in their biomedical research and precision medicine projects.
